Towering Tree No. 1

Plan A was a sunset.

It was a cold, dreary April evening at the same dark park reserve where I'd later shoot the Northern Lights, and the clouds rolled in and flattened any hope of color. So I gave up on the horizon and went to the tree instead: wide lens, back against the bark, close enough to count as a genuine tree hugger. Straight up, the branches fan out to every edge of the frame, and those heavy clouds turn into texture instead of a letdown.

Black and white suits it. No sunset to miss, just trunk, branches and sky.

Made for a home office or a reading corner, somewhere you actually look up from what you're doing.

Frame-ready on Fuji Lustre or float-mounted Metal, ready to hang the moment it arrives.
