Rank And File

Somebody planted these pines in two neat rows, and nobody has told me why.

It's a park I walk a lot: mostly open ground, soccer and baseball fields, not much for birding. The pines stand in lines between the fields, and on a sunny afternoon the trunks lead straight down a corridor of dappled shade. The backstop and fences stay in the frame. It's a city park, not a fairy-tale forest.

The wildlife here is unpredictable, though. Not long ago a chicken ran through the parking lot.

Good for an entryway or a hallway, where a long view helps a short wall.

Frame-ready on Fuji Lustre or float-mounted Metal, ready to hang the moment it arrives.
