For decades, this is where Anoka went for donuts.
Hans' Bakery opened in 1973, and generations of locals lined up for whatever came out of the fryer. I'd been in a few times myself. When the Anoka shop closed, I wanted the building on record before it got torn down or remodeled, so I drove over on the Fourth of July, when the street would be quiet, and shot it from across the road.
The sign still promises history in the bakin'. It's right.
