A performing arts pavilion, shaped like a painter's palette.

If you're the type who notices things, it's the first thing you see: that swooping roof looks a lot like a hand-held artist's palette, tipped up, with a scatter of round openings standing in for the paint. It sits at the edge of a lake on one of my regular walks, sometimes for exercise, sometimes with a camera, always with a few ducks lobbying for snacks. I've walked past it a hundred times, and I still see a palette every time.

Shot in black and white to strip out distractions, leaving one sweeping curve, a row of columns, and a few holes for the light to fall through.
