Groundwork

It's a regional park I walk often, right off the banks of the Mississippi. Along the river's edge sit these big stone slabs, laid out in rows like somebody started a project and walked away. In the evening, close to sunset, the sun came in low through the trees and turned every edge into a line of light.

Black and white keeps it to what the light was doing: long shadows, bright edges, and the trees going dark behind.
